Bulk Handling Systems
Continous Suction Pump System (CSP)

The CSP system is an innovation designed to fulfill the market demand for a simple pneumatic conveying method for bulk cement, wich only has to be unloaded from ship and released by gravity into an existing mechanical transportation system on land instead of being transferred pneumatically all the way to the storage facilities ashore, as with the original HW Carlsen's pump system
In principle, the CSP unit consists of a specially designed vacuum tank combined with an airlock conveyor underneath the upper part of the vacuum tank is the filter section. By means of vacuum pump, the cement is sucked into the unit and continuously discharged again by means of the bottom conveyor. This means that the CSP system has a pneumatic suction side, whereas the cement is discharged directly by gravity behind the airlock conveyor of the CSP unit. From this point, the cement can be further transferred by any conventional conveying method, by screw, belt or bulk-slide conveyors or a combination of these.
